Log Kehte Hai !!!!

Mr. Anupam Joshi - I know him through Orkut, but we shared very close friendship through music. He is totally dedicated to Indian Classical Music, Maihar Gharana and Sarod. He is student of Pandit Rajeev Taranath and had few valuable close lessons from Ustad Ali Akbar Khan. And surprisingly he groomed himself with the same patterns of his gurus, but with his own identity. His grasp over any raga, particularly Raag Shree is appreciable. Not only his music, but also his musical sense attracted me to him. I heard his music through net and realized how much practice and devotion one needs to take himself in this stage. Besides sarod (and Ustad Ali Akbar Khan), he is avid fan of Pandit Bhimsen Joshi, Pandit Kumar Gandharva, Pandit Ravi Shankar, and overall Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan Qawwal. His knowledge and interest in different languages take him all over the world, including Japan. Lastly, I should not forget to mention his ever jovial jokes and (sometimes) spiritual conversation.
